Dr. Sarah Robey, associate professor of History at 麻豆传媒AV, was part of a team of scholars who spent a week this summer leading a teacher institute in Boise for K-12 humanities teachers hosted by the Idaho Humanities Council.

Started in 1982, the annual institute has provided hundreds of Idaho teachers with practical tools for teaching complex topics. This summer, participants focused on the decade of the 1970s and covered key events and themes from the American experience at home and abroad including Watergate, the end of the Vietnam War, economic crisis, environmental activism, and Indigenous and civil rights movements.

Representing Idaho State, Robey joined scholars from the University of Idaho, the College of Southern Idaho, Washington State University, and Boise State University to share their research expertise and help Idaho’s K-12 educators develop new approaches for their classrooms.
