POCATELLO – Dr. Bill Woodhouse, associate dean for Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV Graduate Medical Education and Professional Relations for the Kasiska Division of Health Sciences, has recently been installed as the president of the Idaho Medical Association.

Adult pneumonia immunizations save lives

POCATELLO – According to national research from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), less than 67 percent of adults age 65 or older received their pneumoniavaccination in 2016. In Southeast Idaho, 57 percent of Medicare beneficiaries have never received a pneumonia vaccination, putting them at risk for serious illness and hospitalization.

ISU Institute of Rural Health seeks comment on statewide traumatic brain injury plan

MERIDIAN—Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV’s Institute of Rural Health has received a $450,000 grant from the federal Administration for Community Living to continue the development of a statewide action plan to address the needs of citizens living with a traumatic brain injury or TBI.

POCATELLO - Idaho State Journal readers have voted in the annual Reader’s Choice Awards, and the Âé¶¹´«Ã½AV Audiology Clinic has been awarded second place in the category for Best Hearing Aid Centers in the region. Other award winners in the category include: Miracle Ear, Hearing Zone, Centrum Audiology, Costco and Belltone.
