Faculty HERC Awards for Undergraduate Students
2026-2027 Travel Awards:
Thanks to the support of the Idaho Higher Education Research Council (HERC), Travel awards for students to present research posters or papers at national conferences are available for the year 2026-2027. Students who receive HERC Awards are not eligible for separate travel funding. Applications will be open for acceptance starting September 1.
Award recipients are encouraged to attend the Idaho Conference on Undergraduate Research, which is a free conference open to all students, held annually in July at Boise State University.
For faculty, proposals must be submitted using the Undergraduate Research Fund Faculty Application. Submit proposals as a single PDF document to Sonia Martinez. The submission deadline is September 8th, 2026. Awards will be announced in early October, and funds must be spent by June 1, 2027, with no extensions possible.
